Child’s Own Studio is a website that takes your kid’s artwork and turns it into a real toy.
The website is run by Wendy Tsao who came up with the idea in 2007.
Since opening Child’s Own Studio, Wendy has made almost 600 toys.
Prospective customers can send Wendy a copy of their child’s work and she will determine if it’s something she can work with.
Typically she works only with colored, hand-drawn children’s work.
She does an amazing job of recreating these pieces of artwork accurately and in 3D.
Some of these are really amazing.
Her work is not limited to just dolls…
Some of the most interesting pieces come from the youngest artists.
The toys do a great job of capturing the expression of childhood in each drawing.
Some of the designs get really wild.
Wendy describes her toys and their inspirations, saying each one is “as unique as the child who drew it.”
The toys range between $90-$140 depending on the design and materials.
You can really see the children’s personalities in their designs.
And Wendy does an amazing job of adapting them.
Her toys are a great way of capturing a time in your child’s life.
And they’re a great platform for bringing a child’s imagination to life.
There’s a long wait list for Child’s Own Studio.
Wendy updates the site regularly with photos of her latest creations.
There is no doubt that her toys are as gorgeous as they are unique.
You have to give some credit to the kids who came up with such creative drawings to begin with!
